Student Observations
Are you interested in becoming a physical therapist? Do you need observation hours?
Physical Therapy Solutions invites upper class high school (i.e., junior and seniors) and under class college students (i.e., freshmen and sophomores) to observe in our clinics on a rolling basis. When choosing your career path, you want to make the most informed decision. Observing at PTS may be a way to collect hours to apply for PT school. If you have not fully decide that becoming a physical therapist is your career goal, gaining observation hours may also be a way to decide if physical therapy is your true passion.
Student Observer Description –
We offer unpaid observation hours at all 4 of our clinics on a rolling basis. Student observers work with one of our seasoned PT’s to determine their ideal number of hours per week. Student observers are expected to watch physical therapists at their clinics, take initiative to help staff when appropriate, and ask any questions about patient treatments or the career field at large.
Requirements –
- interest in attending graduate school for physical therapy
- currently completing high school or undergraduate degree
- 3 professional references
Preferred Qualifications –
- An enthusiastic approach to working with a wide variety of patients (i.e., sports injuries, elderly, worker’s comp, pelvic floor health)
- A strong desire to be part of a team-oriented workplace
- Observation hours at our clinic or other PT clinics
