Rachel Polito, DPT, ATC, OCS – Physical Therapist

Rachel grew up outside of Baltimore, Maryland and received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Exercise Science from the University of Delaware in 2008 and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2011.  Rachel has practiced physical therapy in both the hospital and private practice setting since earning her degree, and has been with PTS since 2014.  Rachel has earned the designation as a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS).  Rachel is also certified in the Astym system for soft tissue injuries and chronic tendinopathies.

Rachel has always had a passion for treating orthopedic conditions, but became interested in pursuing advanced education in pelvic floor physical therapy after having her first daughter.  Rachel has completed coursework through the APTA’s Section on Women’s Health and Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute for specialization training in pelvic floor physical therapy including the treatment of incontinence (including leaking and/or frequent urge to use the bathroom) for men, women, and children, pregnancy related pain and dysfunction, postpartum recovery, abdominal wall dysfunction including diastasis recti and post surgical pain, overactive/tight pelvic floor conditions, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, constipation and bowel dysfunction, osteoporosis, as well as side effects from cancer treatment.  Rachel has a passion for educating and treating her patients with pelvic floor conditions and helping her patients restore function and improve their quality of life.

Rachel works in our Dyersville clinic and lives with her husband Josiah and their daughters Avery and Hannah in Manchester.
